As Key West prepares to reopen to tourists on June 1st, I am sharing this article that I wrote for the Click Magazine blog. The topic of reopening is such a divisive one. It has been disheartening to see the hatred being spewed from both sides of the issue. At the end of the day, I wish for good health and for all the best for everyone as we try to balance our safety and our collective reemergence into society.
Since writing this article and taking these photos several weeks ago, many businesses in Key West have been forced to close – businesses that have been here for a long time and that have weathered other storms.
